He’s more than just Harlem Shake. He’s probably on a top 10 most friendly to hip hop EDM list. “Body” is groovy. “Day One” makes me wanna lift reps for Jesus. M.I.A. always finds her way on hot beats, like on “Temple.” “Kung Fu” goes hard in the paint with Pusha & Future, and is probably my favorite track on the album. The mix of music is perfect for my walks during work or if I wanna pretend like I’m walking out to Wrestlemania or a UFC card in Vegas.
Fight dreams aside, on a scale of a Harlem Heat in chains to King Booker winning the World Heavyweight Title, Aa gets a 7.5 out if 10.
Bonus: This is What I Watch
I’m pretty sure there’s no spoilers here with Jon Bernthal playing Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. (No further plot spoilers) If you ever watched the Walking Dead back in the beginning, Bernthal took all the rage of Shane had with the people in his dystopia future and just peed on Lundgren, Jane and Stevenson combined. Who knew he’d be the perfect man for the job? MVP of the season, hence why we see him instead of Charlie Cox here. A couple of other characters get introduced pretty decently to pay the ground work of this season plus continued good jobs by Foggy and Karen, aka Fulton Reed and Jessica Hamby (don’t ever ask me about True Blood).
I’d go into more details, but that would spoil things. So, on a scale of Toxic Avenger to Meteor Man, season 2 of Daredevil gets a 7 out of 10.
I listened to this for 2 tracks. Classic (which came out in ’14) and New York City, with Cam’ron. What kind of album has Walk the Moon (Best for Last) and someone reppin’ Dipset? The Knocks are technically EDM, but their sound is more pop 2016 disco. I’m not a fan of the unnecessary Classic remix with Fetty Wap, but I do like Comfortable with X-Ambassadors. All the songs are catchy at worst.
On the scale of Tony Yayo to Lloyd Banks, 55 gets a 6 out of 10 for Classic making me want to go to the beach and Cam’s song making me wanna strut down Midtown
I’m a Weezy hater. I think he peaked at Carter III and has coasted since. That said, this album is better because it’s predominantly a 2 Chainz album. I like Bounce the most on this, as I already put it on my workout Playlist. Smell Like Money. Not much else stands out for me. Of course, those are also the 1st 2 main tracks on this unofficial collaboration. After that, I kinda just coast myself because nothing riser stands out after Wayne finally translates what the man says on “I’m a Scatman!”
On a scale of Amil to Jay-Z, I give this 6 out of 10 strictly for TT Boy. But because this is really a collabo, this is more of a 4 out of 10.
This came across my Facebook feed. Thank you DatPiff. Thank you Ambrosia For Heads. This was glorious. For the uninitiated, someone made a Sade and MF Doom mashup. An 8 track mixtape. You can’t go wrong here. Also, im a sucker for any mashup. Hot Hands comes with that heat, in particular (Your Love is King). Gazillion Grand also is fantastic.
On a scale of Drake/Meek Mill to Jay-Z/Nas, this gets a 9 out of 10.
Bonus: This is What I Watch
I watched Fuller House. I watched the 1st episode and read afterwards that this episode was over the top cheesy and corny because this was what the creator wanted to be the real Full House Series Finale. I forgive it then. The rest of the show was ok… at best. There’s no other non-sexist explanation: Stephanie Tanner saves the show. They made her the Uncle Jesse of the trio and yep, well done. With the Netflix (lack of) restrictions, they push the envelope on the inside jokes and Sexual innuendo. DJ is such a dry actress, Kimmy is still batshit insane, and the kids are hit and miss. They’re getting a 2nd season because Netflix is king as long as people still “chill” with it. if you’re a fan and make it past the reunion of the Rippers, then why not.
My originalscale was gonna range from a Oh, Mylanta to a You Got It, Dude but that’s one school. Let’s keep it current. On a scale of cheap Donald Trump jokes to “Stephanie is still dancing in my dreams,” this gets a 4.5 out if 10.
